New Book Alert: It's almost time!
My new book, which shares my personal experience with breast cancer, will be released in only a matter of days! I can tell you that this was an extremely hard book to write, and I can't wait to share my experience with you. Most people don't know that 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in the course of her lifetime or that about 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer. In women under 45, breast cancer is more common in Black women than white women. Overall, Black women are more likely to die of breast cancer. For Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American women, the risk of developing and dying from breast cancer is lower. Ashkenazi Jewish women have a higher risk of breast cancer because of a higher rate of BRCA mutations. I believe that we are all in this together and I sincerely hope that my story and practical advice will inspire and encourage the women, families and their supporters who are battling or have already faced breast cancer.
Stay tuned for more information. Lots more!
Until then, be well!
